PEOPLE
Like many photographers, I was shy about photographing people. If I knew them, it was intimidating – what if they hated the picture. If I didn’t know them, it was terrifying – would they come up to me and ask what I was doing? But then one day in Gastown, I came across a wedding party mid-shoot in the street. There were other people standing around, taking photos, and I figured what have I got to lose. No one cared. I took my pictures, posted one and then by chance, the bride found it on Instagram. She thanked me for the candid shot. Since then, I’ve city stalked many fine folks. And hopefully captured their good side.
