Everyone has a different story about how they broke into the film business. For me, it was by following a group of men with walkie talkies from the Starbucks I’d been working in back to the soundstage they were working on. The production, a kids show for YTV called Mr. Young. After talking my way into a job as their social media manager, I photographed, posted, promoted and media trained my way through 80 amazing episodes. This led to a second position with City TV’s Package Deal, where I got to work with both Eugene Levy and Pamela Anderson, and then a third show, Some Assembly Required.

Between seasons, I served as unit publicist for two TV movies before working on my last and best project, an independent feature titled, The Birdwatcher. Serving as unit publicist and stills photographer, I captured elements that would later be used for festivals and promotion. The writer, director, cast and crew worked tirelessly to bring this story to life and I was honoured to be part of it.
